Waterman Fountain PensIn the late 1800s, an insurance salesman had finally sold a prospect on a new insurance policy. As the salesman handed his pen to the prospect to sign the contract, the pen sprang a leak and ink spilled forth, rendering the paperwork unusable.
By the time the salesman had prepared a new policy, the prospect had taken his insurance with another company.
This
experience spurred the insurance salesman, Louis Waterman, to develop
his own fountain pen, designed not to leak. Waterman patented his new
pen, and the Waterman line of fountain pens was born. | | Bids | Bid/ Price | Time Left |
